Update #2
Good morning everyone.
Today is Jeffrey's 4th CHOP Infusion. Hard to believe it has been 21 days already. It's amazing how fast life can go when it revolves around a 21 days schedule.
Jeffrey has had his ups and downs this past 21 days. We have been back to the hospital for dehydration and extreme nausea which left him exhausted. His pain if finally after all these years under better control but certainly still exists. The new meds and patch certainly knock him out for long periods generally causing no appetite and very tired. While we are working on getting it right this is our new normal. Ice Cream seems to be the go to if all else fails.
I can't thank you ALL so much for the continued support as it has helped us directly with everything, new med costs, ER and misc doctors costs, all his necessities, transport, food, OTC meds and drinks, clothing and special medical devices and me. You have me take care of our home which is most important as it is Jeffrey's respit.
As you know the ultimate goal is to complete this criteria to align him with the bone marrow transplant and stem cell infusion. There is a very small window to make this happen. So many prayers must keep coming. I have learned recently that the transport can kill him even if he is slightly off. We kind of knew it but it was Jeffrey's decision so here we are. Poor guy will have a rough 2 plus weeks.. stay tuned
You all have been so incredible and I just don't have the words to express our gratitude. We wish you all a very Happy 4th of July.
Stay tuned for next update
