Jeffrey is facing the hardest fight of his life after being diagnosed with stage 4 oral cancer. The diagnosis was completely unexpected, especially because he has never smoked, drank, or chewed. Although Jeffrey has dealt with medical issues throughout his life, this has been his most difficult battle yet. He underwent an 11-hour surgery and spent 3 days in the ICU. After being moved to a regular hospital room, he stopped breathing and coded for 2 minutes while Danielle stood by and watched it happen. After 2 weeks in the hospital, Jeffrey was finally able to come home, but he now requires a feeding tube and ongoing care.

Since coming home, Danielle has needed to take time away from work to care for Jeffrey and help manage his recovery. With funds already stretched thin, the financial pressure has become overwhelming. Support from this fundraiser will help cover medical expenses not covered, lost income from time away from work, travel-related costs, home care supplies, and household expenses while Jeffrey continues treatment.

Jeffrey still has a long road ahead, including radiation and chemotherapy, and there may be more times when Danielle needs to step away from work to care for him. They do not usually ask for help, but right now they truly need support.
