Support Jefferson County Families After the Storm
Donation protected
Jefferson County, GA was hit by Hurricane Helene in the early hours of the morning on Friday, September 27. Most news outlets did not predict the storm veering so far east, and so most residents were completely unprepared.
The storm has resulted in a massive infrastructure disaster. Power is not expected to return for weeks. Natural gas lines have been impacted. Cell service is unreliable. Grocery stores and gas stations can’t open.
While county and various city officials work to restore normalcy, Eric and I would like to raise funds for residents - specifically for groceries, batteries, and other supplies that will help while the infrastructure is rebuilt. Families will need clean water, food, baby supplies, etc. Please donate what you can.
We will post updates of our drops as they happen. I am communicating with county and city officials to ensure we have a distribution method.
Any funds remaining that are not used to purchase supplies will be donated to the Louisville Food Pantry (Louisvillefoodpantry.org).
