At the end of April my brother Jeff went to the hospital with symptoms of pneumonia, two hours later he was being rushed to UW with a diagnosis of Leukemia. The same night he had his first chemotherapy treatment, with 4 more to follow before he left the hospital a week later.
My brother has been a hardworking craftsman, working for the Glaziers local 188 in Seattle, Wa for the last 25 years. Jeff has been an avid outdoorsman, he loves the Huskies, baseball and soccer.
Jeff has his faith but needs all of our positive thoughts and prayers, he has been diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia and is facing a possible year fight and a bone marrow transplant.
I am writing this in hopes to help raise money to take some of the burden off his shoulders while he fights this battle. He currently has medical insurance, but it will soon lapse due to him not being able to work. He is hoping to get short term disability to shorten the gap, but he will need our help. Just the bone marrow transplant alone could cost up to $1.2 million.
