Support Jeff Spring's Battle Against Cancer

Our friend Jeff Spring has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It is a type of blood cancer that affects plasma cells, which are white blood cells that produce antibodies. The prognosis for multiple myeloma varies depending on the stage of the cancer, patient factors, and response to treatment. With treatment, the median survival time for patients with multiple myeloma is around 5-7 years. Jeff's doctors have high hopes that with aggressive treatment, his younger age (54), and the stage it was found (Stage 2), they can exceed those odds. Jeff has been putting up a strong fight these last 2 months.

Unfortunately, more bad news. His colon has perforated and they will be doing emergency surgery on him today, removing a large section of his intestines. This will require a bag until he heals that can be reversed later. Jeff is a very sick man right now. Jeff is dearly loved by his parents, his daughter, and his many friends like me. This emergency surgery and the many chemo treatments he has ahead have been very tough on Jeff financially. People always ask if there is anything they can do to help. Yes, there is. Jeff is a former Marine and has vowed to me he will give this fight all he has. He has a long road ahead, but I am hoping if we can give him a little peace of mind with a financial boost, he can concentrate on getting treatment and getting better. Jeff does not know I am doing this and it seems a little weird to ask, but if Jeff is willing to fight, I am willing to fight for him and do the best I can to help him get through these very difficult times in his life.
