Jeff Segler, a dedicated Western artist from Trinidad, Colorado, and the current official National Artist for Scouting America, recently received a life-changing diagnosis: an aggressive form of malignant prostate cancer. Jeff now faces not only a daunting health challenge but also the financial burden of life-saving care. Doctors at the Dorsey Cancer Center in Pueblo, Colorado, have mapped out an intensive treatment plan, including hormone therapy, radiation surgery, and five weeks of daily radiation.
His journey began two months ago and will continue with surgery in early December 2025, followed by a rigorous series of daily radiation treatments expected to continue through February 2026. Looking ahead, ongoing treatments will remain a critical part of his fight against cancer through at least 2028. As Jeff and his loved ones navigate this uncertain path, their hope is that, with support, he can focus on healing and return to the work and community he cherishes so deeply.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward the cost of Jeff’s medical care, travel, and daily needs. Your kindness will make an immediate and lasting difference in Jeff’s battle with cancer.
