Hi everyone,

My name is Katie Lamb. My dad, Jeff Schmitt, was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in June of last year. He had surgery in October and still has a long road ahead for treatment. His work as a tile installer is very physically demanding, so he hasn't been able to work much since the surgery. He will now have to be off work for at least the next 6 weeks in order to receive daily radiation therapy at the University of Iowa. After radiation is complete, he will have to travel back and forth to Iowa City to receive ADT injections for at least the next two years along with various other appointments. My dad has worked hard his entire life and is not one to ask for help, but he could really use some during this time. I'm setting up this GoFundMe to raise funds for living, travel, and medical expenses while he is unable to work. He deserves to be able to rest and focus on beating this horrible disease and not have to worry about money right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
