Support Jeff Peterson’s Recovery
Donation protected
Jeff Peterson is a beloved member of the Boise cycling community, known for his outgoing personality and willingness to help others. Recently, Jeff was involved in a serious accident on the Boise GreenBelt when a teen on a Lime scooter collided with him at high speed. The crash left Jeff with two fractures in his neck, requiring surgery and a long recovery period in a neck collar. For the next three months, Jeff will be unable to drive, cycle, or enjoy many of his favorite outdoor activities. He is also unable to work, and since his job is commission-based, this has created a significant financial strain. His wife, who works from home, has become his primary caregiver, and their college-age child is living at home as well.
Although Jeff and his family have health insurance, their out-of-pocket medical expenses are substantial, and the loss of income during his recovery adds to the challenge. Friends and family have stepped up to help with meals, chores, and emotional support, but the financial burden remains heavy.
We are deeply grateful for the love and support the community has shown so far. Any contribution will help Jeff and his family cover medical bills, living expenses, and lost income as he works toward a full recovery. With your help, we hope to see Jeff back on his bike and ready for ski season soon.
