As we weather the tempest that has beset our lives, we find unwavering strength in the indomitable human spirit. This message isn't merely an update on Jeff's extraordinary journey, but a heartfelt plea for support during our most trying time. Following Jeff's remarkable bloodless heart transplant surgery on February 6th performed by Dr J and his amazing team at the University of Chicago Medicine, we've been filled with profound gratitude for the medical expertise that has given him a renewed lease on life - Thank you Heavenly Father and Jesus! Yet, as we prepare for the next chapter in his recovery, a new hurdle emerges. given Jeff's ongoing medical requirements ( having to stay at least a yr post transplant ) his treatments ( procedures monthly and appointments ) medications paying for his medical insurance etc the financial burden is substantial, particularly considering our limited income ( his temp long term disability ) leaving no room for wiggle room. We are trying our best to make ends meet. We have sold what little we had left worth anything. Thank you for all the help and prayers in getting us reunited with our children closer to UCM where we can be a family again. Again we are needing to reach out for help. Our funds has dried up getting us all together again after 7 months apart just this last hospital visit for the transplant. 8 months prior to that between two other hospitals. Anywho my main concern is Jeffs medical insurance ( that is keeping the transplant doctors seeing Jeff ) Jeffs Medicine ( which is keeping him alive ) and our children under the same roof as us ( except when he’s in the hospital ). Those things are the only reason he is still alive today to see our children grow up and our grandchildren. Our youngest daughter together is 9 and he was given another chance to see her another day never mind another week month yr another day. That’s what this fight is for. Is another day of life. Choosing which is more important is getting rough. We hold on to our Father in Heavens word. And promises. We are so grateful for the very life our second chance to live and tell abt our journey. Which was scary but had a beautiful new beginning of a our journey. Please if at all possible we would be so grateful for your support prayers and any donations you could donate.
