Hello, my name is Traci Wallace and I am the Safety Manager for the company my friend, Jeffery Lusk, works for. Recently, Jeff has been having some medical issues that left him not feeling his best, but he put on his signature smile, pressed through, and came on to work.

Jeff got really sick and went to see the doctor. He found out that he had Cancer of the Kidney as well as he needed to have surgery to repair a previous hernia repair. Jeff is looking at having two major surgeries in January.

He has been unable to work for the past few weeks due to being so sick and from the pain.

Let me tell you about Jeff. He has survived dying twice on the surgical table from complications of previous surgeries. He gave up a career to start over in his early 50s as an apprentice sheet metal worker (he is just starting his 2nd year). He comes to work every day with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He will do everything that is asked of him, and I have never heard him complain. As a safety manager, I appreciate him and his work ethic, his willingness to ask questions and to learn, but most of all, the positive impact he has on our crew. While he is "new" to the trade, our crew still looks up to him, they respect him, and they appreciate him.

I understand the daunting battle he is undertaking. Cancer is scary. To hear those words, "you have cancer," has to be the most terrifying words that many people will ever hear this side of eternity. I want to lighten Jeff's burdens. I want him to be able to concentrate on healing without having to worry about his bills, without having to worry about how he is going to make ends meet. I cannot do it alone, but if we all gave a little, we can all make a difference in how Jeff heals, in how he mentally remains strong without extra stresses. Please join me in helping him with what you are able to do. If you cannot help him monetarily, please pray for him and for God to do His will in Jeff's life.
