Support Jeff Logue's Heart Recovery Journey

Donation protected
As most of our friends and family are aware, my brother, Jeff Logue, was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago.

For some background, he had a massive heart attack on Monday, May 5th. He was in the emergency room getting hooked up by the transport team so they could fly him to Louisville when his heart stopped and he coded. They were able to shock him and get him back. We learned that his heart attack was a widowmaker which has a very minimal chance of survival if it happens outside of a hospital. When they got him to the first hospital in Louisville, they did some imaging. He had severe blockages in 2 major arteries and partial blockages in 2 more. They placed 2 stents that night. During the procedure, he coded again. They shocked him twice and got him back again before transferring him to Norton Audubon Cardiac ICU. When we made it to his room, he was pale and cold to the touch. It was utterly terrifying to witness. That Wednesday, he had surgery to place 2 more stents for a grand total of 4 permanent stents.

He perked up after surgery and has slowly but surely become more like himself. He was discharged that Friday and has been home recovering the last 2 weeks. It's truly a miracle that his heart repaired itself as much as it did in the 5 days he was in the hospital. He was lucky enough that he didn't need to have a permanent diffibrulator placed during his stay. The doctor that placed the stents made sure we were aware how close he came to death. He will be on heart failure medication for the rest of his life and he starts cardiac rehab very soon. He tried to go back to work today, but he has to stay out of work a little longer than he anticipated. After the life flight in the helicopter, the hospital stay, time off work for both him and for his wife, Shannon, and the medications he has started, their funds are going to be tight for a little while. If anyone has the means to help take some of the burden off their shoulders, it would be immensely appreciated. If you know Jeffery, you know he is a husband, father, son, brother, and friend who would drop everything to help his loved ones and we'd love to show him some of that same love and support. If you can't give, that's okay! A share and a prayer can go a long way. We are so grateful for all the love and prayers he's received thus far. You are our village and we are beyond blessed to have you.
