*Scroll down for ongoing updates of Jeff's recent surgery*
Help us in supporting our brother in Christ, Jeff Jordan, and his wife, Kari Jordan, as they navigate this unforeseen period in their life.
Jeff Jordan (57) was recently diagnosed with Stage 2A Pancreatic Cancer. Due to having to take time off work for treatment, he was sadly laid off his job, which resulted in him losing his medical insurance in June. Jeff was able to get medical insurance through his wife Kari's employer, but at a significant monthly cost.
Whether you know Jeff or Kari personally or are moved by his story, any contribution—big or small—will make a difference in covering their monthly insurance cost and any additional medical bills. All funds will go directly to the family to help ease the financial burden during this period.
The Jordan family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude for all the prayers and assistance that everyone has thur far given.
UPDATES ON JEFF'S SURGERY VIA KARI
Wednesday 7/23:
Jeff's surgery was a long one. The Dr said it was messed up in there and it was the toughest surgery he’s had in several years. The mass was around the blood vein and they had to do vein reconstruction. His gallbladder was removed along with the stints. He had a lot of inflammation and pancreatitis. Jeff lost a lot of blood was placed in ICU for monitoring.
Thursday 7/24:
Soon after they transferred Jeff to a regular room, he all of a sudden started running a high fever with chills, and had to give him 3 units of blood. They took him for scan and discovered part of his liver is damaged.
Friday 7/25:
Jeff had to go back in for another surgery this morning. Dr removed the part of the liver that was dead. And there was blood but he wasn't bleeding. He will have breathing tubes in for a while as they wean him off of sedation. Dr. McKenzie rocks!!
Saturday 7/26:
They took Jeff for another CT scan this morning. Still a lot of blood coming out his drains so they gave him blood to replace it. Dr McKenzie came in. The biopsy came back clear, he got all the cancer, so now he is stage 2B. We are just waiting for his liver to wake up and take over. Dr McKenzie wants him left on the ventilator for now and they will keep him sedated. He's fighting! His vitals have been good and his blood pressure has stayed more stable. Please your continued prayers for Jeff and his medical team is greatly needed.
