Update: Yesterday, Jeff received the incredible news of a matched liver donor and was quickly taken into surgery for his liver transplant. We are grateful to share that the surgery went very well, and the medical team is extremely pleased with the outcome. Jeff is now in recovery and being closely monitored. While the recovery process will be extensive and the road ahead will take time, this successful surgery marks an important step forward. Our family is deeply thankful for the overwhelming support. This fundraiser has exceeded our expectations, and we are truly grateful to everyone who has donated, shared, and stood by Jeff and Brittany during this difficult time.

Jeff is a loving husband to Brittany and an amazing dad to two beautiful girls, Millie (6) and Maeve (3). He is the kind of person who shows up for everyone whether it’s family, friends, or anyone in need always putting others before himself. His love for his family is at the center of everything he does. Jeff serves as a Chicago Police Officer and comes from a family deeply rooted in public service, with relatives who have served as police officers, firefighters, and nurses.

Jeff is currently on the waitlist to receive a life-saving liver transplant. He has multiple autoimmune diseases that ultimately led to a diagnosis of PSC (primary sclerosing cholangitis), a rare, non-alcoholic, progressive liver disease. There is no known cure or effective medical treatment to reverse this disease, and a liver transplant is the only option.

As Jeff and Brittany navigate this incredibly difficult time, our family is coming together to support them in every way possible. Between medical expenses, extended hospital stays, time away from work, and day-to-day family needs, the burden continues to grow. This fundraiser was created to help relieve some of that financial pressure so they can focus fully on Jeff’s health and their family.
