Support Jeff Damer's Recovery and Stability

Hi, my name is Jeff Damer, and the past few months have been a challenge. Back in May of this year, I had emergency surgery on my right leg. I apparently burst my bursa sac on the knee. Well, I went septic, and they performed emergency surgery to save my leg. At the time, I had a steady job with good insurance. I was getting disability until November 1st. After that, it was supposed to go into a long-term disability program. Well, today, after going 5 weeks without an answer to the question if I was going to receive any disability payments, they denied it, saying it was from a preexisting condition. I am a type 1 diabetic, and they blame the healing process on that. I was surprised by their decision. I didn’t do anything to cause this issue. So anyway, without receiving any money to pay my bills, I have fallen into debt that needs attention. Oh, and during my healing process, my employer shut down my area of the company, so I got laid off as well as several other employees. I have found other employment, but my pay is substantially lower.

I am asking for help getting on my feet. My wife has a full-time job, but it isn’t enough to make ends meet.
