Hi, my name is Joni, my siblings and I are reaching out to share about our dad, Jeff Crowther. About a week ago, we got the heartbreaking news that my dad has been diagnosed with Stage IV adenoid carcinoma, a type of cancer that started in his lungs and has now spread to his brain and spine. He has been in Colorado Springs Penrose-St. Francis hospital for some time trying to get his pain managed as well as starting treatment, including radiation and eventually chemo. However, his doctors have told us that the cancer is treatable but not curable.

If you know our dad, you know he’s the definition of strength and reliability. He’s the one who knows how to fix anything, gives the best advice, and is always the first to show up when someone needs help. He’s spent his life serving others—whether it’s his family, friends, or anyone in the community who needed a helping hand. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.

As hard as this is for our dad, it’s also incredibly difficult for our mom, Julie. She’s been his rock, standing by his side through every appointment, every treatment, and every tough conversation. But this journey has brought more than emotional challenges—it’s also come with mounting medical bills and the heartbreaking reality of planning for a future without him.
