Hello friends,
My name is Andrew Cortes, and my wife and I are the proud parents of our little man, Jed. About a year ago, Jed entered this world and created the family we have always wanted. He was greeted with all the love and adoration a child could ask for. We have been so fortunate that since his birth, he has remained a healthy, thriving, and beautiful baby boy.
With that being said, as any parent can attest, the cost of having a child can be beyond exorbitant. Despite having fantastic health insurance through my wife's job on Broadway, there were many extra costs that accrued and piled up throughout the pregnancy and the year following. The main of which was the emergent C-section that was needed to bring our little guy into the world.
One year later, and we are still dealing with paying and restructuring several of the medical bills from our wonderful son's journey.
While we wish we didn't have to reach out to our friends, our family, and total strangers for assistance with this, the truth is, with the cost of living and childcare being what it is, and the restrictions of being a parent limiting our ability to increase our income, we find ourselves a little over our heads and our backs up against the wall.
We are hoping that anyone out there who is in a position to help, would be able to help fund our goal and have all of our medical bills for our son's birth paid off before the year is out, allowing us to start 2026 with a clean slate and much more breathing room.
We know times are hard for everyone right now, which makes our ask weigh even heavier on our shoulders. But we truly do believe in the idea that it takes a village to raise a child. And we know that whether it be monetary or affection, Jed will grow and thrive thanks to this wonderful community.
No donation is too small, and of course, no donation is too big. But all donations are greatly appreciated and come with the sincerest thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this, for sharing this, and for helping any way you can!
