On August 27, 2025, Jed had been complaining of rib pain for several weeks, so he decided to go into urgent care. They did an x-ray and found a 64mm mass in his right lung. From there, it was a whirlwind of appointments. After several procedures and tests, we found out that he had cancer in his lung, lymph nodes, femur, spine, and 3 places on his rib cage. He has finished endless rounds of chemotherapy, is on immunotherapy, and I have lost count of how many radiation treatments he has had now.

On January 30, 2025, Jed had a stroke as he was getting out of the shower. He was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered 12 tumors that were actively bleeding in his brain. He received 10 treatments of whole brain radiation following this.

The most recent scan that Jed had showed a 13th tumor in his brain that he has received radiation treatment on. He has a spot that has started in his hip as well that is extremely painful and prevents him from getting out of bed a lot of days. He has also started receiving infusions to strengthen his bones since he has had several spots throughout his body in his bones, and these infusions make him very very sick.

We are 10 months into this fight and really feeling the pinch. Jed receives $994 a month for disability, and Izzy, our daughter is also disabled and we receive SSI for her as well. At this time though with Izzy's ABA therapy schedule and Jed being so sick our income is capped at what it's at for the moment.

At this point, any little bit helps especially with gas being insanely high, as we have to drive Izzy across town 5 days a week for her ABA therapy. Keep sending good vibes Jeds way, as this fight is long and has been hard on him.
