Movement With a Purpose: Help Me Build Hip Hop Dance Studios
Hi, my name is Jecala Moore, and I’ve been dancing since I was 7 years old. Dance has never just been a hobby for me—it’s been my safe space, my passion, and my purpose. From my first Dance Studios experience with Dina Pickards in Cairo, Illinois to choreographing for competitive teams across Missouri, dance has shaped every chapter of my life—and now, I’m building a space to help it shape others too.
Hip Hop Dance Studios is more than just a studio—it’s a movement. A dream that’s been in the making for over a decade. After years of performing, competing, choreographing, and leading as a dance director and coach, I’m ready to bring something new, creative, and culturally relevant to Southeast Missouri: a high-quality, hip hop-focused dance space and community.
We’re raising funds to open our first studio location in Cape Girardeau, MO—a creative, urban-industrial space where passionate dancers can grow in talent, discipline, and Self Confidence. This will be a canvas for movement, mentorship, and Creativity. A place where creatives can see themselves reflected and feel empowered to move with purpose.
My vision is to create a positive culture surrounding hip hop dance that runs deep that will impact many locally and from afar.
Your support will help us:
Secure our physical studio space
Outfit it with mirrors, floors, and equipment
Hire instructors
Host community dance events and showcases
Every donation—big or small—helps us turn this dream into a reality. You’re not just giving to a dance studio. You’re investing in a future where movement changes lives.
Join us. Help us build Hip Hop Dance Studios, where every 8-count tells a story, and every dancer finds their rhythm, voice, and purpose.
