UPDATE (please read initial posts below this paragraph if this is your first time on this site): Jean is home now and resting up, and so grateful for everyone’s love and support. We are continuing to raise the fundraising goal because their costs are continuing to grow—they will need to take off more time from work than initially expected (and will have to return slowly, rather than full time), and are facing a lot of out of pocket medical and other support expenses. Thank you for supporting them in this time with whatever you can share!

Our dear friend Jean had a stroke this week. They are currently recovering in the hospital and doing very well, but need to take time off work to heal up and tend to medical needs. Let’s help them pay their bills, which are around $5,000 per month.

Jean is a disabled single parent to an amazing kiddo who has a lot of their own needs. Jean has already had a super rough year medically, with major flares of their disability making it difficult for them to work consistently, leading to a lot of financial stress. All of this was before the stroke, and now they need our support even more critically. Jean is a healing arts practitioner and spends most of their hours doing caregiving work for their community and their kiddo. Let’s support them to be able to care for themself for a bit.
