Support Jean's Recovery and Home Repairs

My name is Dona Solis, I am the bonus granddaughter of David and Jean Irving, and the Irving family needs our help.

Jean was first hospitalized on June 13th, and has been there since. She is now at a point in her recovery where she can finally go home, however, when it rains it pours. While Jean's caretakers were preparing the family home for her return, they made an unfortunate discovery. The house is in dire need of repairs. Due to the condition of the home, it's speculated the home is what caused Jean to become ill in the first place.

Not only Jean, but also her poor cat, Abby. In order to assess the amount of damage to the home, Abby must be vetted and boarded, and Jean must be cared for elsewhere. While Jean's hospital stay is covered by insurance, unfortunately Abby's vet and boarding expenses, as well as the cost of repairing the family home, are not.

Currently, our goal is to get Jean into our first choice of skilled nursing facility. At this time, we have no knowledge of how long all of this will take. Insurance will cover Jean's skilled nursing stay for up to 20 days, but anything beyond that point we would need any financial help you can give. All we know for now is that the health and comfort of Jean is our top priority. Once the family home can be saved and Jean is back in her house, our eventual goal is to move Jean in with Beverly in South Carolina. Saving the family home means being able to safely reenter for Jean's comfort, as well as gathering all important items to pack for the move to South Carolina.
