My name is Lori DeBruhl and I am starting this go fund me for Jeannie Jordan. To know the Jordan family is to love them. Jeannie is always the first to reach a helping hand to those in their time of need and now it’s our time to do so for her. Below is an account from her daughter JJ on how all of this unfolded for Jeannie:
November 9th 2024 we were hunting and we were all standing around talking and mom looks right at me and starts stuttering and I didn’t know what was happening. She went unconscious within about 5 seconds. She was unconscious for 30 seconds or so. They called the ambulance to her and she refused the ambulance.
We finally got her to go to the hospital and they did a CT scan of her head and lungs and saw absolutely nothing. About a week went by and she had another seizure on a Sunday another one Monday and another one on Tuesday and dad finally took her back to the ER. They did nothing minus bloodwork and gave her seizure medicine. She kept having more and more seizures and dad took her back to the ER where they once again did nothing minus bloodwork again. December 19th she had a really bad day of seizures. We are all laying in bed and she had a really bad one. She went unconscious again and the ambulance came and got her. They ran CT scans either and without contrast, MRIs with and without contrast. They ended up finding a mass on the left side of her brain. They proceeded to run more CT scans and MRIs. They did do a PET scan and the rest of her body was clear. They released her and upped her medication. Two days after Christmas we had a call with the doctor when he informed us that it was a Glioblastoma. We had started to plan when she was going to have the surgery to remove it. December 30th her seizure got extremely aggressive and they were about 8-10 mins apart. We called the ambulance again and they kept her from December the 30th all the way until January 7th when she was able to come home. The doctor was able to remove all the cancerous spots and the MRI was clear. She’s is still facing many difficulties along the way. She goes to Duke on January 20th and has radiation on January 21st. She will have to do radiation and chemo. She will have to have CT scans and MRIs on a regular basis.
