Support Jeannie and The Aloha Dogs after the loss of Rick.
Donation protected
Hi. I am Cynthia. The first time I met Jeannie and Danno, first therapy dog at the Healthcare Center 13 years ago, I knew we would be friends. I ask of Jeannie’s many friends and acquaintances, “What can we do for this amazing lady and The Aloha Dogs, Kono, Mano, and Kula?” as they begin the new chapter of their lives together.
For the last 10 years, Rick Pearce, Jeannie’s husband of 25 years has had eight heart attacks and eight strokes. Rick passed away April 3, 2025. Jeannie has been his devoted caregiver through the countless ambulance rides to the ER, numerous hospital stays, and rehab and skilled nursing nightmares. It has been an ongoing cycle in Rick and Jeannie‘s lives.
Jeannie rarely misses bringing Mano to the Healthcare center every Sunday dressed in holiday attire. The residents and patients wait anxiously for their group or one on one visits. Jeannie says bringing her therapy dog to the Healthcare Center is therapy for her every Sunday. Jeannie and The Aloha Dogs share their “pure aloha.” Meaning:
love, affection, peace, compassion, and mercy to all. I ask everyone who knows Jeannie to donate any amount to help her get her house and yard back in order after so many years of being Rick‘s caregiver and working from home. It’s been difficult to balance her time and life. Grief is harder than she ever imagined.
