Support Jeannette's Stroke Recovery Journey

Hi all my name is Linda and I have created this go-fund me on behalf of my grandmother Jeannette Phelps.
For those of you who don’t know on May 05, 2024 nana suffered her first stroke. She was placed in ICU for 48 hours after but then was released with restrictions due to amazing progress. 1 month and 10 days later, on Saturday June 15, 2024 nana suffered another stroke at 4:00 Pm. After getting her to the hospital we learned that not only did she have the stroke in the same place as last time but no one could take her into surgery right away and they couldn’t give her the TPA (breaks down the blood clot to prevent more damage ) again due to the fact she just had it a month ago. The surgeon was already on a life / death surgery. We then asked about other hospitals and were told they couldn’t life flight her because she wouldn’t have made it. We ended up having to wait for the surgeon to finish his surgery, as it was our only way chance. So we had a long waiting period before they could take her, so she went past the three hour stroke period . After finally waiting, they took her into surgery, and successfully completed the clot removal. After this surgery she was not as great as the first surgery but by the evening of June 17,2024 she started showing promising signs. That is until at 2:00 Am June 18, 2024, where Nana started to have another stroke but on the opposite side of the brain. This stroke was unexpected and was very hard on nana. This surgery was a little hard as it took 4 different tools to get this clot out . Our main goal is to figure out why her body keeps producing blood clots and how.
With the first stroke came various bills as her insurance does/ did not cover it all. With what we have going on now this will not only be more in medical bills but hard for us to be able help with. The purpose of this fundraiser is not only to pay nana’s medical but also help get other medical needs taken care of on top of other expenses that nana may accumulate.
