Support Jeanne's Fight Against Cancer

Where to begin.... My name is Dee, and I haven't known Jeanne Tretbar as long as some or most of you have. I have only had the pleasure of knowing her for a short (no pun intended) 17 years through work. However, it has been fun getting to know her closer in the last five years. A few of us at work were talking and thinking about how to help her out and decided one of the best ways would be to set up this GoFundMe account. So, if she knew this fund was being created right now, she wouldn't be that happy with me. I'll cross that bridge soon when she finds out. However, I did get permission from her daughter Ashley.

Jeanne isn't one that likes to be on the receiving end or having to ask for help. She likes to be the one providing and giving all she can. Whether it's contributing to one of the many family potlucks/holiday get-togethers, attending sporting events for her grandchildren, the conversations had when driving in the car with her grandchildren or spending many hours making and wrapping her homemade caramels to give as gifts, she always thinks of others. I could continue to go on, but I should really get to the reason for this fund.

Once again, Jeanne has been faced with yet another obstacle (as though she hasn't been through enough already). To name a few, she has fought cancer and beat it once, she has endured not only one but two kidney transplants and then there was the hardest obstacle that she was faced with in February of 2022 when she suffered the heartbreaking loss of her high school sweetheart, Jiggs. This strong woman has now been diagnosed with urothelial carcinoma. It's been said to be an aggressive cancer that is not curable, but treatable. She can really use all the positive thoughts and prayers that you can give her now and going forward. Her chemotherapy will be starting, and she will be doctoring between the U of M in the cities, here in Park Rapids and in Fargo. As you all know, medical costs are outrageous, plus the added expenses that go along with traveling to her appointments (hotel, gas, food) and the basic needs for day-to-day living while trying to continue to work full-time to try and afford it all.

So, I am here humbly asking for your support in helping Jeanne through this new challenge. Any contribution provided, whether in thoughts and prayer or monetary, would help her out greatly financially and emotionally as she begins this fight. I, along with her family, appreciate any support you can provide Jeanne at this time.
