Hi, my name is Mel and I encourage you to help support my friend and coworker Jeanne. Jeanne is my sweet, caring, and a little bit silly, friend. She started out as just a coworker, but the moment she made me laugh so hard I cried, I knew she would be so much more.

Jeanne is a wonderful mother , coworker, and just great human being to be around in general. She is the last to ask for help, but the first to offer her assistance. That’s why her friends and coworkers have banded together to help her in this time of need. Jeanne has just started recovery from undergoing a double mastectomy when she found out she will be going in for more surgery to remove all the lymph nodes and begin chemotherapy soon after. She is a single Mom unable to work. We are not sure when she will be strong enough to come back.

Seeing her cry when she told us the news was heartbreaking - seeing her worry about paying the bills while maxing out her credit cards with doctor visits was and is just as painful. It’s not something you should have to worry about while battling for your life. If we can ease just a small portion of her burden and continue to see her laugh and make jokes, it will all be worth it. I wish I could convey in words just how important her presence is in so many lives, including mine.
