Support Jeanine during her cancer journey

After noticing a mass in her abdomen in late November 2024, Jeanine (“Nene” to many of us) was diagnosed with colon cancer in December. While her prognosis is good, she’s facing major surgery, and potentially chemotherapy, some time in January.

Even with decent insurance, Jeanine is facing hefty co-pays, along with a host of other expenses to prepare her home for a 6-8 week (or longer) recovery period. She will also lose crucial income during this time.

We’re setting the initial goal amount at $20,000. This will cover medical expenses; home maintenance and improvement so she’s safe and comfortable during treatment surgery, and recovery; and any emergent financial needs that arise along the way. The main goal is to make sure Nene doesn’t need to worry about anything besides healing.

Gift cards for known service needs are welcome, too. Some examples include: snow removal, laundry, cleaning, or meal/grocery delivery services. We are working on a form to express interest in helping with specific things. Reach out via the Contact button below for more info.
