Jeanette, a devoted single mother of three—Alex (21), Elise (17), and Eli (5)—was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. On June 6, 2025, she began her first round of chemotherapy, facing this battle while also caring for her children and supporting her mother, who is in hospice with advanced breast cancer. Jeanette is the second eldest of five siblings, with one older brother, a younger brother, and two younger sisters. She has always been a pillar of strength for her family, offering help and comfort to her mom, siblings, and kids whenever they need it.

Now, Jeanette is facing overwhelming challenges. She will need to stop working to undergo her chemo sessions, which means she's worried about how to cover rent, bills, and daycare for little Eli. Her van recently broke down, adding another layer of stress, and the emotional toll of her mother's illness weighs heavily on her. Despite all of this, Jeanette remains humble and resourceful, always putting on a brave face for her loved ones and finding ways to overcome obstacles, even when the burden feels impossible to bear.
