Hi, I’m Jeanelle — a triple-negative breast cancer survivor, mother, advocate, and someone who’s trying her best to rebuild life after the storm.

Over the past year, I’ve shared my story with the American Cancer Society, helped pass a New Jersey state law to make biomarker testing accessible for Medicaid patients, and worked hard to advocate for health equity.

But behind the scenes — I’ve been struggling.

I have an upcoming surgery, and some of the medications I urgently need are not covered by insurance. On top of that, bills are piling up, and life after cancer hasn’t let up — emotionally, physically, or financially.
