Family, friends, and strangers, my mom is entering her biggest battle yet. Cancer has struck again, for the eighth time. Now it's in her lungs. Five years since her last battle, she has to go back for more intensive surgery. Thousands of dollars of bills and months of recovery lie ahead. While Medicare helps somewhat, the procedures and hospital stays have steep copays. This experience is incredibly taxing, not just physically and financially, but mentally and spiritually.
