Hey everyone I'm Jd and about a month ago I was in an accident that resulted in a pilon fracture. While working on a friends polelight I had climbed to the top of an extension ladder when the pole itself suddenly broke and began to fall over his chainlink fence. I jumped from extension ladder to avoid the fall, landing on my feet. Although I landed on my feet, the height from which I jumped created too great a pressure and resulted in a pilon fracture. The bone near my ankle burst into pieces and a spiral fracture trailed up my shin bone. This resulted in 2 surgeries and at least 3 months of non load bearing (mostly bed ridden) recovery with my foot having to stay raised above my heart. Although I have found help for medical finances I cannot work to pay for personal bills such as phone, gas to make it to doctor appointments in Lubbock, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
