JD’s Legacy & his Family’s Future-in Memory of JD

Jack Daniel (JD) Luevano husband and father of 5 has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. First and foremost JD is a father to 5 amazing athletes, Damiyun , Honey , Hayloe , Henri & JD II ⚾️. JD not only has invested his time into his own children, but to many kids in the community as a softball coach from Woodland to Elk Grove. His passion is investing into the future through coaching kids. In addition to that he founded a local motorcycle club that regularly organizes and hosts fundraisers to help support children and families in need. Now his family is in need and we hope the communities he’s invested in will rally around him and his family.

Diagnosis information:

Initially JD complained of a “burning” stomach, and was treated for acid reflux. Then he battled with what he thought was severe heartburn. Over a year later the symptoms had not subsided so he demanded an endoscopy. On April 18, the Dr called JD to report this life changing news; the pathology, from the biopsies taken during his endoscopy, revealed that he had stomach cancer. The life of JD and his family was turned upside down. Starting the very next day, JD has had Drs appointments, scans and test just about every day. After waiting 3 excruciating weeks the Oncologist concluded that he has stage 3 stomach cancer which includes a tumor in his pylorus and several cancerous lymph nodes. His treatment will start with 8 weeks of chemotherapy (4/6 wks recovery), then surgery (partial gastrectomy & 4/6 weeks recovery) followed by another 8 weeks of chemotherapy (4/6 weeks recovery) His team of Doctors predicted treatment + recovery will be around 9 months. During this time JD won’t be able to work and as the sole provider this will create even more hardships for the family. At this time the family humbly asks for your support.
