Our beautiful daughter, Jazmyn, was severely bitten by a German Shepherd on August 18, 2024. The dog completely removed the upper left side of her lip, causing a very traumatic injury and a long road ahead. Jazmyn has a job working in the public eye and will have to miss several months of work in hopes that the many surgeries will bring her close to having her beautiful lip and face restored.

Jazmyn is a beautiful 23-year-old who is just getting started in her adult life, with a strong family bond, including myself, my husband, and her amazing 15-year-old brother. Jazmyn’s life has changed in the meantime, realizing she may have to wear a face mask for the next year to hide her new insecurity. There will be countless trips to and from the surgeon's office and a number of medical bills piling up.

From a young age, Jazmyn was a very strong little girl as her father and I were living in addiction and alcoholism. She helped raise her little brother and went down a positive avenue as a teenager, becoming a very skilled cheerleader for 10 years. As her dad and I changed our lives and got sober, she and her brother got to reunite with us after some time apart. Jazmyn has faced many challenges in life but remains a compassionate, loving young lady. Life is unexpected and sometimes we have to ask for some help.
