Hello, I am Jazlyn, a student at Suny Cortland studying Inclusive Childhood Education. I have been offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to studying abroad this summer for 10 days on an island in the Caribbean called Dominica during late May. The program is called Dominica: Development and Resilience in Dominica. Dominica is a rich and diverse island that has a tight-knit community and biodiversity such as mountains and an intact rainforest.

While in Dominica, I will have the opportunity to work with local school children and learn about how the island was rebuilt after a natural disaster. This unique experience will help me broaden my perspective of the world and help later in my career as a teacher.
