Hi friends, family and kindhearted supporters,

I am creating this Gofundme for my dear friend Cassie, who is facing every mother's worst nightmare.

On February 8th her 11 year old son, my nephew, was in a horrific head on collision with several of his friends/teammates - This has left him with severe injuries to his both of his legs, a broken arm and shoulder, a broken nose, upper jaw and multiple facial breaks and fractures.

Jayvien is a fighter but his recovery will be long and difficult. He has had multiple surgeries and currently in an intensive rehabilitation needing round-the-clock care. As his mother and sole provider, is committed to being by his side every step of the way. However, this means she has to take an extended leave from work, making it nearly impossible to keep up with medical expenses, household bills and the costs of his care.

No parent should have to worry about finances while helping their child heal. That's why I'm asking for your help - whether it's a donation, a share, or simply keeping this loving family in your thoughts and prayers. Every dollar raised will go directly toward medical expenses, equipment to help ease Jayvien's transition home, on-therapy and supporting Cassie as she cares for him full time.
