My name is Carleen O’Connor and I am here to ask for help for my grandson. Jay’Veon was born on February 27, 2014, the most beautiful baby and healthy as can be. He has always been a happy, bubbly lil boy and very playful. When he was 4 years old, he had an injury in his leg, and after that, everything changed. He started having difficulty walking, and he wasn’t able to run and jump like before. As he got older, his difficulties in walking started progressing. When he turned 8, he started using a walker and got diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. Since then, his disease has progressed, and he can no longer walk on his own or use his arms like he used to.

So I’m asking for help to get a wheelchair-accessible van and some medical necessities for his comfort. He can’t sit on his own, so we’re just trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Since he’s getting older, he is also getting bigger, so our car is too small and not accessible for his wheelchair. Anything helps; anything that you donate is going straight to my grandson’s necessities. But even though he is going through all that, he always has a big smile on his face.
