I’m raising funds for my fiancé, Jay, after a devastating boating accident on September 5th 2026.

Jay was riding a Jet Ski when he was hit and T-boned by a 27-foot boat that was estimated to be going 40 mph. He is now in the trauma ICU facing multiple serious injuries. After an attempt to save his left eye with surgery, it is not repairable. He also has a collapsed left lung, a broken left femur, 9 fractures in his face, and a 7 mm brain bleed. Jay is currently on a ventilator because of the collapsed lung and because he aspirated saltwater. When initially transported to trauma center, jay was placed in a medically induced coma, he is now currently still on a lot of medication causing him to go in and out of sleep.

This has turned our lives upside down. Jay and I have a 4-month-old daughter together, and the trauma center is an hour away, so every trip back and forth adds more strain while we are trying to stay close to him and care for our baby. Jay is the main source of income in our household, and he will be out of work for a while, so the financial pressure will continue even after these first days in the ICU.

Donations will help cover the ongoing needs our family is facing, including rent, household bills, medical expenses, gas for the commute to the trauma center, food, and expenses for our 4-month-old daughter. Recurring donations would give us steady support as bills continue and Jay remains out of work, but one-time donations would also help us more than I can say.
