Jay is just 32 - full of energy, dreams, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life. After taking the bold step of pursuing a Master’s degree two years ago, he had just graduated, excited to start working, pay off his student loans, and build a future he had worked so hard for. To his family, he’s their beloved son - kind, determined, and their hope for a brighter tomorrow. To his friends, he’s the one who always shows up, always encourages, and always brings warmth with his smile.
But on Sunday, August 17, 2025 his life changed in an instant. Jay was involved in a terrible accident that caused a severe head injury. The impact caused a severe concussion and dangerous brain swelling/herniation. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to remove part of his skull and save his life. Since that day, Jay has been on a ventilator, in an induced coma, fighting for his life. My name is Bhargav and I am helping raise funds so that Jay can have all the medical care he needs in a foreign country.
This devastating accident came just as Jay was about to start a new job after two years of hard work as an international student in the U.S. on an F1 visa. Instead of starting his career, he now faces an uncertain medical journey filled with surgeries, long hospital stays, and extensive rehabilitation.
His parents are retired senior citizens in India, and are carrying the unimaginable pain of watching their only son struggle, while also facing the crushing financial burden that comes with critical care in a foreign country and an insurmountable student loan burden. He is currently in the ICU, and doctors expect he will remain there for the next couple of months, with additional surgeries already planned.
And that’s why we are here — because Jay has always given his best to those around him. He’s been the friend you could lean on, the student who never gave up, the son who worked tirelessly for a better future. Now, it’s our turn to lift him.
Here’s where your support will go directly:
• Life-saving emergency surgeries, intensive care unit charges over months, and medication costs that must be paid out of pocket.
• Certain Critical Surgeries/procedures codes that are not fully covered but are essential
• Long-term rehabilitation, therapy and recovery costs
• Living and transportation expenses during his treatment
• Essential support for his parents, who are retired senior citizens traveling from India to be by his side and care for him during this long recovery
This is a mountain no one should have to climb alone. Every single donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on his family and give Jay the fighting chance he deserves.
If you can, please consider donating, sharing Jay’s story, and keeping him in your prayers. He has always fought to build his future, please help us fight for him while he is not able to.
