Hello! My name is Jay, and I'm currently trying to raise money for top surgery (FtM). My surgeon doesn't accept insurance so I'm forced to pay out of pocket. Now I know there are TONS of other individuals on this site also trying to gain financial support for gender affirming surgeries so what's so special about me? Well...

I'm not, I am genuinely at my wits end. I am in fear that if I do not get this surgery in the next year or so I may never be able to do so safely. Mine and many other trans individuals rights are getting stripped away and knowing I could be stuck in a body that isn't me brings me a lot of turmoil.

I understand that I'm putting myself at risk asking for help as some of my family doesn't support me but I cannot continue to live my life unfulfillingly. I understand that it's not a quick process at all but as someone who is a full-time college student struggling to get a job, I am in need of help and I can't keep quiet about it anymore.
