To our beloved community,
As many of you know, on June 14th, my sister Jayne was in a serious hit-and-run motorcycle accident while riding as a passenger on a country road in Sonoma county. She sustained multiple serious injuries: five broken ribs, two fractured vertebrae, 4 cracks in her pelvis, and a shattered ankle.
She is incredibly grateful to be alive, to have not sustained serious head trauma, and that she will eventually make a full recovery. She is optimistic and in good spirits, but has a long road of healing ahead of her.
Healing as a single mother will be hard. Jayne will be mostly bedridden and undergoing physical therapy. She will be unable to take care of herself and her daughter Sylvie alone.
We are looking to raise funds from her community to cover some of the insane medical costs associated, as well as babysitters for Sylvie.
She is a total survivor and always finds a way to make things work so asking for help is tough. She is SO independent and has a always been on her own.
