Support Jaymie's Fight for Recovery

Reaching out with a heavy heart & a lot of hope, to share Jaymie’s story. We must 1st give the glory to God for getting us this far and giving us hope to have been given a second chance at life!

Wednesday evening on March 19th, 2025

while outside cleaning up after a playdate with her daughter, Jaymie (24) would find herself in a struggle for her life. Brent, came out to find the love of his life, mother of his 2 young children had collapsed, and went unresponsive. Rushed to Franklin Square Hospital to find out Jaymie suffered a massive stroke on the left side of her brain and undergone emergency surgery.

Currently in the ICU, her eyes are open and we believe she understands what happened.

15 hours after brain surgery, now Thursday morning, doctors reveal Jaymie has a hole in her heart.

Jaymie, only a few weeks prior had given birth to their 2nd child, a baby boy. Jaymie had been concerned of a clot after child birth however dismissed - it was deemed “superficial”. Jaymie is young, healthy, and active.. she didn’t fit the criteria. As the doctors explained, she was already a high risk to have another stroke, she was given a 3-5 day window to keep her brain from swelling and causing further damage. Therefore closing the hole in her heart had to be done at some point in the near future but was too risky this early after brain surgery …

Today, day 3, after scanning her body they’ve found another blood clot. Faced with the “too risky” heart surgery has become a must!Jaymie had undergone another surgery today to block this clot to try to prevent another stroke!

I’m taking the time to make this go fund me for Jaymie and Brent a young family, a dedicated, loving mom & dad to 2 small babies totally unaware of uncertainty that lies ahead.. Jaymie was in her prime, blessed with her babies (already picked out her wedding ring), a loving sister, daughter, cousin, a friend and deeply loved. As we know she is newly postpartum with a little girl in pre-school and a 2 month old son they just welcomed home. This was preventable and should not of happened. Her voice went unheard. We won’t know the extent of damage done until this Monday when the swelling subsides. But we do know she will need around the clock care and therapy for unforeseen future. This go fund me will help with medical expenses insurance will not cover, living expenses - as we all know you need 2 incomes to survive these days; and Brent, a young man himself couldn’t do this alone, no man could without a helping hand. Our family and friends are helping with the baby shuffles and doing what we can financially. However realistically, this will be exhausted at some point in the near future. Like many, living paycheck to paycheck. This will be a long journey to recovery but with the love and support she has and she is so strong she will get through this!
