Hi, my name is Liz, and I'm the owner of the coffee lounge in Wyandotte. I'm doing this fundraiser on behalf of Jaylin Thomas and his family.

Two days ago, Jaylin took a turn for the worse with his health. He went to sleep, had a seizure, and is now on life support, fighting hard for his life.

Let me give you a little story about him. He started working with us through the Wyandotte Transition Program, and from there, he never left our side. When the program ended, he continued for years to be a part of our coffee family. He spent almost every day with us, by choice.

I have watched this young man ride his bike in the snow, rain, and cold just to get to work next door at R.P. Murphy. Our coffee shop was his second home, as he stored his bike there daily and sat with us to chit-chat or eat and drink his smoothie or hot chocolate. He has grown with us.

We now need to be there for him and his very loving, beautiful family. Jaylin is so lucky to be a triplet! Yes, a triplet, three of him. But he needs us, and his family needs us, to help be there for what will be next on his journey.

His parents gave me permission to ask the community for help. All proceeds will go toward his medical care and other expenses moving forward, giving his parents and family the help to be there by his side each and every moment they can be with him.
