Background:

Over the past few months, my life has been turned upside down by a series of personal and family crises. My elderly parents faced eviction from their long-time home and, as I helped them to deal with that situation and find new accommodations, we found out that my father likely has dementia and other illnesses that have impaired his judgement without our knowledge. He has been involved in financial dealings that are now causing severe stress and potential legal complications, which placed an immense financial and emotional burden on my mother and me.

Current Situation:

I have just taken over managing my parents' finances and legal affairs while balancing my responsibilities as a single mother and a full-time employee. Additionally, my son is facing a medical issue that will lead to progressive disability, adding another layer of stress and urgency to our situation.

Recently, I had to take a leave of absence from work due to the overwhelming pressure, and this has significantly impacted my income. I also covered all my parents' moving expenses for them, as well as buying them a bed, table, kitchen appliances and groceries for May after learning my father had spent all their savings, to the last dollar. Thankfully, their income will be enough to support them long term now that I am looking after the financials, but the next couple months will still be difficult.

Why I Need Help:

The financial strain of handling these crises is becoming unmanageable. Legal fees, transportation costs, and the day-to-day costs of supporting my family are piling up. I am exploring the possibility of extra employment to help defray costs, but that will make it even more challenging to handle the needs of my family and parents.
