On Saturday, November 9, our world was turned upside down when Jayleigh, our beautiful 16-year-old granddaughter, was involved in a devastating car accident. Jayleigh, a bright and vibrant young girl with so much ahead of her, sustained life-altering injuries. She is currently in a medically induced coma, fighting for her recovery, with a broken arm, shattered elbow and a fractured knee. Doctors are telling us that her journey to recovery will be long and challenging—requiring months of physical therapy and significant time away from school.

As we stand by her side, our daughter Christina, Jayleigh’s mother, has not left her side for a moment. Her dedication to Jayleigh’s care is unwavering, and as a result, she is unable to work during this critical time. In addition to caring for Jayleigh, Christina is also raising her 11-year-old daughter, who is facing the uncertainty and stress of this difficult situation. The family is struggling not just with the emotional toll but with the financial burden as well.

The road ahead for Jayleigh is going to be tough. It will take everything she has—and everything her family has—to help her heal.
