Support for Jaykaveon’s Recovery — A Gospel Rapper, Youth Minister, and Joy-Bringer, among many other things he does for God's Kingdom.
On behalf of our dear friend Jaykaveon (“Jakk” or “Jay”), we are asking for support during an incredibly difficult and unexpected season for him and his wife.
Jakk Jones is only 30 years old. On his way home from the Pluckers Christmas Party—a place he is incredibly proud to work and just three short days away from becoming a store manager—his life changed in an instant. A drunk driver ran him & his wife off the road. Although his wife has minor injuries, Jakk woke up the next morning unable to move anything.
Despite the accident and his insane health struggles and outlook, his spirit is incredibly strong. You would never know he has suffered such a tremendous tragedy. Jakk and his wife Jasmin are the kind of people a Christian should truly model their life around. They feed the homeless every single week, not for recognition, but because that’s who they are. He’s a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan who brings energy, humor, and heart everywhere he goes. Even now, facing the unimaginable, Jakk says he’s determined to be “the flyest guy in a wheelchair ever,” and of course, lean on his faith and continue to find ways to help others.
If you know Jakk, you know the light he brings wherever he goes. He is a gospel rapper with a powerful testimony, a dedicated youth ministry leader, and someone who loves making people laugh and feel encouraged. His heart for serving others—especially the young people and the community—has touched countless lives. Jakk is one of the most positive, motivated, kind, and inspiring humans you will ever meet. His body may be not be able to move, but his drive, generosity, and love for life and God remain completely intact.
Now Jakk needs the same support he has so freely given to others. He is uninsured and urgently needs advanced spinal cord rehabilitation, a properly fitted wheelchair, and extensive accessibility modifications. His current home is a second-story apartment with no accessible entry—leaving him unable to safely return home.
Supporting Jakk means standing beside a man whose strength and optimism refuse to be broken. It means lifting him up much like he has spent his life lifting others and, in doing so, giving him the chance to heal, regain independence, and keep inspiring the world—just as he always has.
How You Can Help: pray and donate!
Your donation will go toward:
Helping pay rent, bills, and essential expenses
Additional costs while he heals and regains his strength
Medical expenses and necessities
No amount is too small. Every donation, prayer, and share helps support the Joneses during a challenging time.
Thank you for standing with them, praying for healing, and showing Jaykaveon the same love he has shown so many others.
