Hello, my name is Sylvia. I'm making this GoFundMe for my son, Jaydin-Knight. In 2018, my son was diagnosed with kidney failure, specifically nephrotic syndrome FSGS collapsing (an extremely aggressive form for a child). About 5 years ago, he was placed on dialysis. Currently, he is doing 10-hour dialysis at home. At a very young age, my son has put up the biggest fight against this horrible disease. He was 9 years old when he was diagnosed and is currently 16. He's gone through so much: different treatments, multiple hospital stays, tons of surgeries, and missed out on being a kid. Finally, we can see the light at the end of this journey. His doctors have finally given him the green light to get his kidney transplant. He has waited more than 6 years to get to this point. In the next 6 months, he will finally have the surgery and hopefully be able to live more of a normal teen life. He's a really good kid. Seeing him go through all this all these years really just makes you appreciate the little things in life. My son is my little hero, and I'm so excited for this next part of his journey. I'm raising money for future expenses and medical expenses for him. We live 5 hours away from his doctors, so we will have to travel and stay near his doctors for 6 weeks after his surgery. Whatever is left, I plan to give to Jaydin to buy whatever he wants. My son is 16 but is a millennial at heart and would love an old gaming systems.
