Hello , my name is Katlyn . I am the mother of Jayden . I have been a single mom throughout Jayden’s life . Jayden is a great kid he loves basketball , tactical shooting and to be outdoors hanging out with friends and family . Unfortunately Jayden was diagnosed last year of 2024 with scoliosis. It was a shock to hear for both of us . Jayden had to start wearing his brace so it wouldn’t get worse . Unfortunately this year in June 2025 he went up in curve . He had went through a big growing spurt . Dr suggested to keep wearing his brace . I ended up getting a second opinion with a different orthopedic doctor. July 31, 2025 Jayden had a new X-ray done and unfortunately the curve has worsened more and he can no longer use his brace per doctor it won’t help anymore. The only option now is to have major back surgery . Jayden and myself were saddened to hear about this . We were going to wait til summer of 2026 with school being out . Unfortunately we can’t wait that long due to the severity of the curve could cause heart and lung problems by that time . With that being said Jayden needs surgery soon . Jayden is going into his freshman year of high school now dealing with this situation. Jayden will miss up to 6 weeks of school a lot of therapy to get stronger again and a lot of driving back and forth to the east coast . I am asking for anyone’s help if they can contribute anything to help with medical expenses etc so Jayden can have a safe procedure and recovery. ❤️‍ I am blessed with anything you do contribute.
