This fundraiser is for my best friend Jax (full name protected for safety) because he is facing a level of illness that has completely changed his life.
In his 20s, Jax received the COVID vaccine and within approximately two months experienced a viral infection. After that period, he never recovered back to the person he was before.
He was left with severe post-viral and neuroimmune illness affecting multiple systems of his body. He now lives with:
Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy (AAG) —
an autoimmune condition affecting the autonomic nervous system, which controls essential functions like heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, sweating, and temperature regulation.
POTS / Dysautonomia — a condition affecting circulation, heart rate regulation, and the body’s ability to tolerate normal activity.
ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) — a serious neuroimmune disease involving severe energy limitations and worsening symptoms after exertion.
MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) — a condition involving abnormal mast cell activity and increased sensitivities affecting multiple systems. The reality is that at his current level of illness, Jax cannot live the normal life he once had. He cannot simply push through, work a normal job, or maintain daily responsibilities like a healthy person. His doctors have advised limiting activity to avoid worsening his condition and further deterioration. I have watched him lose independence and fight through a situation that most people cannot see from the outside. He is still trying to find answers, access proper care, and improve his quality of life, but many of the necessary resources are not covered by insurance. This fundraiser is to help him maintain stability and access the care he needs.

Testing and Diagnostics — Estimated: $5,000+
- Specialized blood testing
- Autoimmune evaluations
- Advanced diagnostic testing
- Additional medical evaluations
Medications, Supplements, and Supportive Care — Estimated: $3,000+

- Prescription medications -
-MCAS related treatments
- Other medically recommended supplements and supplies
MCAS Environmental Protection — Estimated: $2,000+
- Air purification systems (approximately $800+)
- Environmental improvements
- Products needed to reduce triggers and exposures
Specialty Care, Travel, and Treatment Access — Estimated: $5,000+ *
- Specialty clinic appointments

Potential treatments will be evaluated with qualified medical professionals and may include therapies being explored for complex autoimmune and post-viral conditions.
Fundraising Goal: $30,000
I am asking for help because Jax is in a situation where maintaining stability and accessing medical care has become necessary for survival. This is not about luxury or unnecessary expenses. This is about helping someone who has lost all of his independence and life due to illness and is still fighting for the chance to live again.
Any donation or sharing of this fundraiser can directly help Jax access care, maintain stability, and continue searching for answers. Thank you for taking the time to read his story.
