Hi, my name is Taylor, and I’m fundraising to help my beloved dog, Jax, get the urgent medical care he needs as he battles epilepsy.

Last week, Jax experienced a terrifying episode of cluster seizures — multiple seizures in a short period of time — and had to be rushed to the emergency pet hospital where he stayed for 4 days. He was admitted for intensive monitoring and treatment to stabilize his condition. He was put on extreme, sedative medications as a last resort to stop the seizures which thankfully were successful. Seeing him so vulnerable and confused broke my heart.

Jax has been diagnosed with epilepsy, a chronic neurological condition that causes sudden, recurring seizures. Managing it requires ongoing care, including costly emergency visits, neurologist consultations, advanced diagnostics, daily medications, and frequent follow-ups. He has now been home for 2 days and is still enduring the mental recovery that consistent seizures can have.

Although we are very happy that the emergency trip was effective at stopping seizures for the time being, the financial obligations from his stay have been significant. His long-term treatment includes an upcoming MRI that we are to have as soon as possible. and multiple medications which are estimated to add thousands of dollars on top of his emergency stay. It’s overwhelming — emotionally and financially — but I’m committed to doing everything I can to give Jax the happy, healthy life he deserves.

Jax is more than just a pet — he’s family. His goofy personality, side eyes, and unconditional love bring light to my life, and our family, every day. I’m reaching out to ask for your help.
