Meet Jax
Jax is a bright, silly, turtle-loving 6-year-old who has already been through more than most adults ever will.
Jax was born with biliary atresia, a rare and life-threatening liver disease. At just a few weeks old, he underwent a Kasai surgery to help his liver drain bile. That surgery gave us an incredible gift: six beautiful years with our boy growing, learning, and loving life.
Over the past year, Jax’s liver disease has progressed. He’s had multiple hospitalizations for recurrent cholangitis (serious liver infections), ongoing cirrhosis, pruritus (severe itching), nutritional struggles, and increasing complications related to his liver. After extensive testing at Seattle Children’s Hospital, Jax has now been officially listed for a liver transplant with a peld score of 6.
While his lab numbers don’t always show how sick he truly is, his doctors are clear: a liver transplant is necessary for Jax’s long-term survival and quality of life.
We are asking for help so we can focus fully on keeping Jax healthy, safe, and supported through this journey—without the added weight of financial stress.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep Jax in your thoughts, it means more than we can put into words. Thank you for being part of our village and for helping our brave boy get the future he deserves.
With gratitude,
Jax’s family
