Support Jax's Eagle Scout WRC at Epping Way Trail Project

Hello! My name is Jax, and I'm a Life Scout working toward my Eagle Scout rank with Troop 457. The Wolf River Conservancy has been an important part of my life since I was young. I have countless memories of annual tree plantings, stream strolls, cutting privet trees, building bat houses, owl and kestrel houses, canoeing, and kayaking adventures that helped me develop a deep appreciation for our natural environment.

How You Can Help

Financial Support

Your financial contribution will make a tremendous impact. I'm seeking to raise $950 total for this project.

Project Supplies ($350): The funds will cover essential materials such as work gloves, and various safety supplies. Thankfully, the Wolf River Conservancy is generously providing all necessary tools and equipment for the project.

Volunteer Support ($600): This portion will provide meals, snacks, and hydration for 20-30 volunteers across multiple work sessions. While the Chief Conservation Officer estimates the project might take 3-4 hours with skilled workers, I'm planning for a potentially longer workday since we'll have volunteers with varying experience levels working in outdoor trail conditions. The project is scheduled for a single day, but we're preparing to extend our hours as needed to complete all tasks. Properly feeding and hydrating our volunteers throughout the day is essential for both safety and project success.

Any funds that remain after the project's completion will be donated directly to the Wolf River Conservancy to support their ongoing conservation efforts.

If you're available to volunteer physically (date to be announced later), I would be incredibly grateful for your hands-on help! I'll need approximately 20-30 volunteers to make this project successful. No special skills are required—just a willingness to help and enjoy a day outdoors making a difference.

My Eagle Scout Project

I have the opportunity to give back to this organization that has given me so much. For my Eagle Scout project, I will be improving hiking trails within the Wolf River Conservancy at Epping Way by:

Clearing and enhancing approximately 0.5 miles of existing trail

Restore and revitalize 6' x 8' trail track for hikers and bikers.

This project is not just about trail maintenance—it's about creating permanent improvements that will help countless visitors have a better experience and appreciate the natural beauty of the Wolf River Conservancy for years to come.
